McKellar Angus is composed of two operations, McKellar Ranch, Lee & Delores and Mark McKellar and J.M. McKellar Cattle Co., Morris & Betsy McKellar and Joseph & Jamie McKellar. These two ranches operate independently, but work towards the same goal. This goal is to produce top quality Angus bulls.

The bulls in this year's sale are the best set of bulls we have ever produced, and they reflect our commitment to offering you a great set of bulls that are ready to go to work. We believe a bull has to be more than just a set of numbers. He must have plenty of growth, muscle, fleshing ability and eye appeal; otherwise he is of no value to a production minded commercial cattleman.

Our priorities in our breeding programs are the same as today's commercial cattleman. These priorities are fertility, calving ease, growth, milking ability, and carcass quality. Furthermore, we continually improve our cow herds by culling very hard for productive traits, while also realizing the crucial importance of maintaining progressive carcass genetics.
